The LBW Trust was formed in Sydney in 2006. The Trust assists disadvantaged young people in cricket-playing nations to access tertiary education through scholarships. It has grown to support over 260 students through operations in India, Pakistan, Nepal, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Uganda.
LBW stands for Learning for a Better World and also represents the cricketing origins of the organisation. We draw on the generosity of the Australian and international cricket community with our ambition to use the worldwide appeal of cricket to make a difference in the sphere of education.
We aim to assist underprivileged students in developing cricket playing countries to complete their tertiary education and our hope is that, when they graduate, these young men and women will play an important part in improving the future of their communities and nations.
The LBW Trust is a registered charity.
