Double your Donation on GivingTuesday (29 November 2022)

This year for the first time the LBW Trust is participating in GivingTuesday. On Tuesday 29 November 2022, every donation will be matched by a generous donor up to the value of $50,000.

What is GivingTuesday?

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement that unleashes the power of people and organisations to transform their communities and their world.

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past eight years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

GivingTuesday strives to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build together, unlocking dignity, opportunity, and equity around the globe.

GivingTuesday’s global network collaborates year-round to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life.

When is GivingTuesday?

GivingTuesday is held annually and this year on November 29, 2022. It’s held on the same day in most participating countries in the world.

So how can I get involved and support the LBW Trust?

By donating to the LBW Trust this GivingTuesday you have the chance to double your donation making every dollar go further. We are so pleased to have the support of a generous donor who has pledged to match all of the donations made to the LBW Trust on Tuesday 29 November 2022.

Things you can do include:

  • Donate and know that every dollar you donate will be matched doubling your donation.

  • Help us get the word out by sharing our GivingTuesday donation link with family and friends

Your donation will help students in great need.

In economically devastated, Sri Lanka, $150 will help a student complete their studies by removing the financial burden that would otherwise necessitate them to stop studying and seek employment to feed their families.

Across India, as little as $250 will enable a university or vocational education to build business leaders of the future and release them from the limitations of their birth.

In the Afghan refugee camps of West Java, Indonesia, $500 will equip a young adult with the skills to teach the children in the camp while they await the many years before relocation.
